Little Screen is a free AI-powered film guide built for parents of toddlers and pre-schoolers. Before you press play, we tell you exactly what's in a film — and whether it's right for your little one.
🤖 How the analysis works
When you search for a film or use Discover by Mood, Little Screen uses a large language model to analyse the film from a parent's perspective. The AI has been trained on a vast amount of information about films, and we prompt it specifically to consider content through the eyes of a parent of a 0–6 year old.
We then enrich every result with verified data from The Movie Database (TMDB) — so runtimes, poster images, and UK streaming availability are accurate rather than estimated.

The Stimulation Score measures how visually and aurally intense a film is — fast cuts, loud music, bright flashing colours, and high-energy scenes. This matters because high-stimulation content before nap or bedtime can make settling harder, and very young or sensory-sensitive children can find it overwhelming.

Platform availability is sourced from TMDB's watch provider data for the UK. Catalogues change frequently — always check the platform directly before settling the kids down.
